During my student exchange program in the UK, I undertook a significant project that resonates with contemporary’s lifestyle trends; I noticed that individuals, particularly students and young families, often prioritised convenience over the quality of their meals. This shift can be attributed to various factors, including time constraints, budget considerations, reluctance to cook, and lack of culinary skills. In response to this societal shift, I conceptualised a collection of posters featuring traditional English recipes that should be used as reference for individuals. What sets these recipes apart is their unique visual representation—each recipe is depicted solely through individual letters forming the name of the dish. This creative approach not only adds visual interest but also showcases the versatility of typography, mimicking the shapes of cooking utensils and ingredients used in the recipes. By combining practicality with creativity, my project aims to inspire individuals to explore cooking and make informed dietary choices in an engaging and accessible manner.
